I don’t want to stop at my ‘Need’ diamond. There is so much more to explore with textile waste, value, beauty and action.

What if I made my own frames out of found materials (like cardboard, plastic, etc.) and then made a silicone mould of it? Then I can cast it in (I don’t know what yet), then spray it gold!

I’m investigating different methods of presenting ‘Need’. Should I ‘set’ the diamond in either a claw or bezel setting, or both?

Sometimes it’s difficult having a full life + being an artist. Difficult, but I’m so grateful.

My current studio is small but wonderful. The only big things in there are my artworks and the holes around the windows and doors.

After reading lots of quilting blogs my mind continues to expand with ideas. These two are going to help me get this artwork done.

While thinking through other ways to paint the background differently for ‘Young & Free’ I went down an oil painting rabbit hole.

I've been playing around in Canva, making a template to use as a 'featured image' on my blog for blog posts without an image or video. This is what I came up with!

I have bought two pieces of sequin foil - one silver and one gold. I’m going to experiment with these within my diamonds.

Old painting, new idea. It’s time to revisit the mirrored shapes within the diamonds.
