It just keeps getting bigger

Something has clicked between my current paintings and some of my old paintings. Years ago I made a series of abstract diamond paintings on mirrored aluminium composite panel:

When the audience walks past the painting the reflection in the mirror shapes moves and the diamond appear to ‘sparkle’.

What if I used this same idea with my gold kangaroo? Cut out shapes in the diamond eyes, claws, boxing gloves and genitals and adhere the painting to a mirrored surface? Then (similar to the planned reflective gold frame) the audience would see themselves in these mirrored shards and the diamonds would sparkle. Especially if I experimented with the lighting in the space the painting is exhibited in.

Now I have had this idea I don’t think I can go back. I need to make it happen.
