Winter is coming

My current studio is small but wonderful. The only big things in there are my artworks and the holes around the windows and doors. I’m old enough to now know (most of) my thinking patterns. During winter, when working at night in a cold studio I don’t tend to get a lot done. Especially as I can barely move in all the layers I wear - even with a heater on.

Listen to all these excuses. I’m starting them early! I am aware that even after I have filled the gaps in the walls this is the direction my thinking will head.

So I’m going to start the ‘combat-this-winter-mindset’ action plan early. I will prepare my studio as much as I can for the colder weather but I also know I will not get as much done in there as I do during the warmer months.

I’ve had an idea of some smaller artworks I can continue inside where it is warm and cosy. I will get ‘Male’ finished this week. I will continue to sew ‘Need’ but I’ll do the sewing elsewhere and keep the design wall up in the studio. And I will work on these smaller projects and complete the 3D modelling for my painting ‘Young & Free’. There’s lots to do!
