Why am I an artist?

Good question. I’ve always loved making things. I come from a family who love making, doing, learning, being busy. So it comes naturally to me, it’s normal to me. I’d be doing all of these things whether I officially called myself ‘artist’ or not.

Posting my artwork and progress on my blog daily has been challenging. But it means I’ve been doing and making work everyday which is so important.

I am an artist because I love being one. There are things I want to share within my finished artworks, but now also with sharing the process, the learning and the journey. I’m still getting comfortable with this ‘sharing everything’ aspect of blogging daily. I don’t have to share everything of course but what fun is it if you can’t see how it’s made? (It’s not as much fun, I think).
