Seeing inspiration

Today I went on an adventure to the National Gallery of Victoria (NGV). When I walked in, just behind the water-wall was the sculpture Venus by Jeff Koons.

Venus by Jeff Koons, in the foyer of the NGV.

It’s gold, shiny and reflective. Mirror-polished stainless steel with transparent colour coating. I think the NGV needs a large, gold kangaroo with diamond eyes next to old mate Venus here. They could be friends!

Now my mind is going off on a tangent…. how easy/difficult would it be to make a stainless steel sculpture with a transparent gold coating? 🤔
