Redo the ‘world’?

I have an opportunity to retake the 360 image (HDRI file) I’ll use to create the ‘world’ the gold kangaroo is in. This image shows up as a reflection in the gold kangaroo.

The questions I’m pondering are:

  • Where is the best place to place the camera so that it looks like I am looking into the kangaroo’s diamond eyes?

  • Wherever the camera is placed, will I ever be able to zoom out/step back far enough within the HDRI file to see the full 2m height of the kangaroo without him disappearing into the background? (I hope this makes sense)

  • What if I wear a different outfit? For example, my orange studio apron, pyjamas, my clothes from a few years ago, my wedding dress? (??!?) How will my outfit change the meaning of the artwork?

This is a small section of the HDRI file/world for the gold kangaroo in ‘Male’. It was also the intended HDRI file for ‘Young & Free’. This is my angry face.

I am happy with the location I’m standing in. I wonder if taking the photo on a day with clear, blue skies will change the reflection dramatically or not so much?
