Projector

I hope to have time in the studio tomorrow. I plan to cut some canvas and tape it to my new Mitchlite PVC board. This is for my practice painting for ‘Young & Free’. I think I will call this painting ‘Male’.

The width of the PVC board is 122cm. This is the minimum width I want to make ‘Young & Free’. I will make ‘Male’ 122cm wide as well and try wrapping the canvas around the board and taping it at the back. I’ll show you when I’ve done it.

I’ve spent a lot of time trying to find a projector. I have succeeded and it will hopefully arrive in a few days.

This is the reference image for ‘Male’:

Old Mate here will be larger than ‘life-size’ if I make the painting 122cm x 152cm (4ft x 5ft) and position him like this. I don’t mind if he is bigger for this painting, but I want to make him as close to life-size as possible in ‘Young & Free’.

Note: the claws attaching the diamond eyes aren’t perfect. They don’t touch the diamonds yet. I feel too impatient to fix them now as I am so desperate to do some painting! But if the projector takes a few days to get here then I’ll probably fix them.
