Reflecting on the year

Today is a day of reflection. It has been a tough and emotionally turbulent year, but a good one nonetheless. I have tried with all my might to ‘relaunch’ my art career. Finally now, right at the end of the year do I feel like I am on my way. On my way to what I don’t know. But I’m off somewhere.

I have a daily practice. I have people I am doing my daily practice for (you), not just me. I am at peace with the pace I can manage. At least I like to think I am, however looking at my plan for the next two weeks I am beginning to think it is a bit too ambitious. I haven’t left any room for resting. But what will I ship on a rest day/night?

Perhaps some thoughts on my current artworks. Or notes about the paint I use, brushes, substrates, lighting, documenting artwork, organising my studio, framing, notes from my sketchbook, a short video walk-through of the current stage of the 3D modelling, photos of the current state of the studio, etc. I think I will use this list of ideas and break them down a bit more. Then on a ‘rest’ night I have a list of ideas I can pick from to write a short blog post about. Please let me know if there is something you’d like me to write about!

I did the first isolation coat on ‘Bloom’. I had an opportunity today and I took it!
